April 3 was somewhat of a rest day with everyone skiing various short runs in areas close to the hut. After completing some snowpit work one of the guys from the other group came by and I joined him on a short trip up the Granite Glacier morraine, veering of the left (or South) onto the plateau below the Northerly ridge of Sentinel and above the hut. From there we dropped into a nice line which took us to base of "practice slopes" and the hut. |
