Fairy Meadows Ski Trip

On April 2 it remained clear and cold, with excellent snow and good stability. We climbed up to Friendship col, crossed the flats of the upper Gothics glacier to Fria Col, followed that margin around past Thor Pass, and circled back below Pioneer Peak and climbed it. After the excellent descent from Pioneer part of the group returned to the hut while Iain, Kathryn and myself climbed Sentinel Peak before returning. A long and full day with views of Sir Sandford from Fria Col and Thor Pass, as well as a chance to eye up the route down Thor pass with the option of touring to the Great Cairn hut in mind.
			Climbing into Friendship Col, views back over Cycle Peak to the Rockies, and the upper Gothics Glacier.
