Summit Fire Lookout

On the very summit is a fire lookout. There is another one across the lake on a small peak called The Watchman. In winter the wooden covers are lowered down to cover the windows. Nobody was there but I believe it is actually used for spotting fires. We sat on the leeward side (the left here) to be out of the cold wind until sunset, having arrived early. (We had a lot of smoke in the air from fires, but they were much too far away to spot from here.)
